Tragic Accident: 7-Year-Old Loses Life in Boulder Fall at Nevada Ski Resort

A tragic accident has claimed the life of 7-year-old Adelyn Grimes from Reno, Nevada, after she was struck by a falling boulder at Diamond Peak Ski Resort in Incline Village. This heartbreaking incident occurred on Saturday, leading to a ruling of accidental death by the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

As medical services were called around 3:38 p.m., the ski patrol quickly responded with first aid. Despite the rapid efforts of the emergency medical team and additional support from the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Adelyn sadly succumbed to her injuries.

Diamond Peak Ski Resort expressed its sorrow, offering heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, which is conducting the investigation, reiterated that no foul play was suspected, labeling this incident a tragic accident.
