Rock Legend Shocks Fans with Surprise Visit to Jeremy Clarkson’s Pub: What Happened?
Acclaimed Status Quo drummer John Coghlan was recently spotted at the Farmer’s Dog pub near Burford, enjoying a drink with his wife Gillie and a friend. This pub, which opened its doors last August, is conveniently located near the musician’s home. Sharing a moment on social media, Mr. Coghlan, an avid car enthusiast, revealed his fondness for the place, noting he often visits due to its proximity. He captioned a photo taken beneath an eye-catching blue tractor hanging from the rafters: “Gillie and I had a jolly evening at The Farmer’s Dog, Jeremy Clarkson’s pub.”
John Coghlan, known for his distinctive moustache, was an original member of Status Quo. He played a vital role in their iconic 1970s lineup, contributing to classic hits like “Down Down,” which topped the charts in 1975, and “Rockin’ All Over The World.” After departing the band in 1981, he reunited with his former bandmates for a much-celebrated tour in 2013 and has since penned an autobiography titled “Spud,” derived from his nickname during his musical journey.
