Oxfordshire Village Gears Up for Annual Spring Litter Pick—Join the Community Effort!
On Saturday, March 15, Launton residents united for a community spring clean at the parish hall, an initiative by the parish council. Armed with high-visibility jackets, gloves, and litter pickers, the volunteers scoured nearly all village streets, showcasing a strong community spirit. Participant Robert Cornford noted significant litter collection, particularly by the bridge and the playing field, praising the overall cleanliness of the village. This effort not only beautified Launton but also fostered camaraderie, as participants enjoyed refreshments provided by Launton WI after their hard work. Such initiatives highlight the impact of community engagement in maintaining a clean environment.
