LA Wildfires: Death Toll Hits 30 as New Fatality Confirmed in Altadena Blaze

The death toll from January’s devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County has tragically risen to 30, as confirmed by the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner. The latest casualty, linked to the Eaton Fire, was identified through remains discovered on Boston Street in Altadena, marked as “unidentified doe No. 203.”

The Eaton Fire accounted for 18 fatalities, while the Palisades Fire claimed 12 lives. Together, these fires wreaked havoc across more than 37,000 acres, forcing thousands of residents in Altadena and Pacific Palisades to evacuate and seek refuge elsewhere. As both communities grapple with the aftermath, they are steadfastly working towards recovery and rebuilding their lives.
