Exciting International Piano Series to Launch at New Oxford Venue This Autumn!

The SJE Arts International Piano Series will relocate to St John’s College, Oxford, in autumn 2025. Founded in 2011 at St John the Evangelist Church, the series has showcased over 70 concerts annually, hosting globally acclaimed pianists like Sir Stephen Hough and Dame Imogen Cooper. This transition will enhance reach and impact while retaining its excellence, moving to a delightful auditorium with a Steinway D piano. Michèle Smith, director of SJE Arts, notes the excitement for future performances, including one by Angela Hewitt featuring J.S. Bach. Professor Jason Stanyek highlighted the move’s alignment with the college’s vision for exceptional musical experiences, further reinforcing Oxford’s vibrant arts scene.
