Bicester Welcomes Its First-Ever Drive-Thru Greggs: What to Expect!

Greggs has submitted a planning application to Cherwell District Council for signage related to its new drive-thru unit in north west Bicester. This follows the approval granted in June 2024 for a single-storey, 1,800 sqft building on Skimmingdish Lane, featuring 30 car parking spaces and six bike spaces. It will become the county’s second drive-thru Greggs, with the first having opened in Brize Norton late in 2023. Oxfordshire County Council supports the signage plans for four fascia signs and directional markers, ensuring that traffic safety will be maintained. Despite initial community concerns about green space loss, plans continue to move forward as locals anticipate the opening date. Greggs hasn’t confirmed when the unit will be operational yet.
